You must login to view these reports

Because we must be informed as we grow our children into adults I am providing the registered members of this site a news service. Aggregated news from the internet is pulled into one location for the user to read. Since this service requires system resources I do not wish to open this service to the anonymous user at this time. This insures a better product for the registered members. These news items are either related to the child or to parenting.

Long Vacation Trips

Karen and I have been lucky when it comes to taking the kids on a long trip. Karen was smart when Jonathan and Andrew were young to be creative in entertaining them with new gifts they could play with. To mark the event time for the gift she chose crossing the state boarders as the time for the new gift. This kept the boys busy and eager to enter into the next state. Now that the boys are teenagers we still take long trips. They now know how to entertain themselves with their own toys. The boys either listen to CDs, watch DVDs or play games on their Gameboys.

Missing Karen (Mom)

My wife Karen just had hernia repair surgery which was supposed to be out-patient based. Once the surgeon started he found that there were two hernia and they were both larger than he had expected. He also discovered that the mesh from another hernia repair wasn't doing its job and he had to replace it. While removing the mesh he found the intestine had attached itself to the mesh and he went about trying to knocking it loose frm the mesh. He ended up tearing a hole in the intestine and had to stitch that up. So now my wife is in pain, in a hospital room, on a liquid diet and running a fever. I have a virus and she said "Stay away! The last thing I need right now is a cold that makes me cough." I have complied with that wish but I do miss not seeing my wife.
